If you’ve ever wondered how electronic textures and synth design shape the emotional undercurrent of a score, this session is for you.
Scott Wasserman is one of the most in-demand electronic music designers and orchestrators working in theatre today. His credits as Ableton programmer include Hamilton, Dear Evan Hansen, & Juliet, Natasha, Pierre & the Great Comet of 1812, and Redwood. He also served as Electronic Music Designer on Broadway’s Diana, and has contributed orchestration and arranging work at Carnegie Hall, The Kennedy Center, Radio City Music Hall, and with the Boston Pops.
In this 90-minute virtual session, Scott will focus on orchestration elements that live in the world of synths and atmosphere — often invisible to the audience, but vital to a production’s sonic identity.
He’ll break down the orchestration of a new song from an upcoming musical, pairing it with a Logic session demo to show how he weaves together electronic layers and theatrical storytelling.
From ambient textures to rhythmic pulses, from sampled pads to hybrid scoring techniques, this is a rare look inside the craft of music design for modern musical theatre.
Replay will post 1-4 days after event.
UPON CHECKOUT, YOU WILL RECEIVE 2 EMAILS: Receipt and class access.
